What does this static QR code generator do?
Vaultaire puts the displayed content directly into a standard QR Code Model 2 symbol. It does not create a short link, hosted landing page, account record, scan counter, or editable redirect.
The browser creates both files, scans the completed PNG and SVG with a separate decoder, and blocks each download that does not match the reviewed payload. A passing local check reduces avoidable generator errors but cannot guarantee that every camera, screen, or print will scan.

A static code does not depend on Vaultaire after you download it. The destination, password, contact detail, or other encoded content can still change or stop working.
How to create a QR code without signup
- Enter the content Choose the payload type and fill in only the fields that belong in the code.
- Review the exact payload Check the full canonical URL, URI, text, Wi-Fi record, or vCard before generation.
- Download verified files The browser scans the final PNG and SVG again before it unlocks either download.
Wi-Fi QR code generator
A Wi-Fi QR code lets a guest join your network without typing the password. Select the Wi-Fi type above, then enter the network name and password.
- Enter the network name Type the SSID exactly, including capital letters and spaces. It must match the network exactly.
- Choose the security type WPA covers WPA and WPA2 Personal, which is almost every current home and office network. Use WEP only for old equipment, and Open network when there is no password.
- Mark a hidden network Set the hidden option when the network does not broadcast its name, so the scanner knows to look for it.
The tool builds a standard WIFI URI and shows it to you before it generates the symbol. Phone cameras on current iOS and Android read this format and offer to join the network.
A Wi-Fi QR code is not a secret. The password sits in plain text inside the symbol and is not encrypted. Anyone who can see or photograph the code can recover the password, including from a photo taken across a room. For a code you display in a cafe, office lobby, or rental, put guests on a guest network and keep your main network off the print.
vCard contact QR code for a business card
A contact QR code stores your details as a vCard, so a phone camera can offer to save the contact instead of opening a website. It is the usual choice for a business card, a conference badge, or an email signature.
Select the contact type above and fill in the display name, organization, title, phone, email, and website. Only the fields you complete go into the code. The tool writes a vCard 4.0 record, the current version of the standard.
Keep the fields short. Every extra character adds modules to the symbol, and a denser symbol needs a larger print size and a steadier camera to scan. If your contact details run long, encode a link to a contact page instead and check the printed result at its real size before you order a print run.
Download a QR code as SVG or PNG
Every code is available as PNG and as SVG. Both are free and neither is watermarked.
Choose SVG for anything that goes to print or into a design file. It is a vector, so it scales from a business card to a poster with no blurring. The file is self-contained, with a fixed view box and a plain rectangle and path structure, so it opens cleanly in Illustrator, Figma, Inkscape, and page layout software.
Choose PNG for a document, a slide, a message, or a web page, where a fixed-size raster is simpler to place.
The browser decodes both files with a bundled independent decoder and unlocks the downloads only after it recovers the content you reviewed. Check the layout again after any editing or compression, because scaling a QR code non-uniformly or compressing it heavily can break the scan.
What stays inside the browser?
Your QR content is processed in this browser tab. It is not sent to Vaultaire for generation, tracking, or storage. Client analytics send fixed action events to Vaultaire's PostHog proxy, the only connection the route's Content Security Policy allows, and the payload you enter, including any Wi-Fi password, is never part of them. Cloudflare still receives the ordinary requests that load this page and its static assets.
The generated code is not encrypted or access-controlled. Anyone who can see or photograph it may recover its contents. Treat a Wi-Fi QR code or contact card as visible information.

Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG is convenient for documents, messages, and ordinary screen use. SVG scales without resampling and is usually better for layouts that may be printed at different sizes. Verify the final layout after any editing or compression.
What does QR error correction do?
Error correction adds redundant codewords that may help a reader recover from some damage. It does not guarantee a scan, and it does not make logos or covered modules safe.
Can I edit a static QR code after printing it?
No. The content is part of the printed symbol. Change the fields, create a new code, verify it, and replace the old print.
Does local verification guarantee every phone will scan it?
No. It proves that the bundled independent decoder recovered the reviewed content from the final file. Cameras, print size, surfaces, damage, lighting, and reader support still affect real scans.
